Last Christmas was not just about celebration it was about purpose, compassion, and the power of community.

In the heart of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, I had the privilege of spending the festive season with some truly remarkable children. Their laughter filled the room, their excitement lit up the day, and their dreams reminded us all why giving back truly matters.

What made the moment even more special was the opportunity to support five children with ₦20,000 scholarships each, dedicated to helping them prepare for the next academic term. It wasn’t just financial support it was a message to these young minds that they are seen, valued, and believed in.

For many families, even the smallest educational expense can become a heavy burden. That day, Christmas became more than food, gifts, or photos it became relief, encouragement.

Watching the children smile as they received their support was deeply humbling. It reinforced a simple truth: when we invest in children, we invest in the future of our communities. Education remains one of the strongest tools for empowerment, and every child deserves a fair chance to learn, grow, and dream boldly.

This initiative is part of a broader commitment to grassroots impact and constituency-focused service in Ifako-Ijaiye. True development starts with the people especially the youngest among us. It starts by listening, showing up, and taking action where it truly counts.

As we move forward, this is only the beginning. There is so much more to be done, and with consistent effort, collaboration, and compassion, we can continue to create meaningful change—one life at a time.

To the children who shared that Christmas with us: your future is bright.
To the community of Ifako-Ijaiye: this is home, and the work continues.
