History is shaped by moments — and some moments announce, loudly and clearly, that something new has begun.
One of such moments unfolded when I was formally welcomed into the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area, by the Leader of the Party at the LGA, Hon. Kris Ediale, alongside dedicated party executives and stakeholders.
This was not just a meeting.
It was not just a photograph.
It was a statement of purpose
A Warm Welcome, A Shared Vision
From the very first handshake to the final exchange of ideas, the atmosphere was charged with unity, optimism, and readiness for action. The leadership and executives of ADC Ifako-Ijaiye received me with openness, sincerity, and a clear commitment to building a stronger political structure rooted in the people.
Hon. Kris Ediale and the party executives demonstrated what true leadership looks like — inclusive, forward-thinking, and grounded in grassroots realities.
This reception reaffirmed one simple truth:
Ifako-Ijaiye is ready for purposeful leadership.
More Than Politics — A Movement
This moment represents more than a party alignment. It represents a movement of ideas, a convergence of people who believe that governance should work for everyone — not just a few.
ADC Ifako-Ijaiye stands for:
- Accountability
- People-centered governance
- Opportunity for youth and women
- Transparency and integrity
- Grassroots empowerment
These values align perfectly with the future we are determined to build together.
Grassroots First. Always.
True change does not start from billboards or boardrooms — it starts from the grassroots. It starts with ward leaders, party faithfuls, market women, youths, artisans, professionals, and elders who understand the daily realities of the people.
The engagement with the LGA leadership and executives was rich, honest, and focused on solutions, not slogans. It showed a collective readiness to roll up sleeves and do the work that matters.
A Loud Message to Ifako-Ijaiye
Let this be known across every ward and street:
A new energy has entered the room.
A new conversation has started.
A people-driven journey has begun.
This is about restoring trust in leadership, reconnecting governance to the people, and building a future where representation truly reflects the will and welfare of the community.
We Move Forward — Together
I am deeply grateful to Hon. Kris Ediale, the executives, and all-party stakeholders for the warmth, support, and confidence. This welcome strengthens our resolve and fuels our commitment to serve with integrity, courage, and compassion.
This is just the beginning.
Ifako-Ijaiye, get ready.
The work starts now.
The future is calling — and together, we will answer.
Hon. Opeyemi Adigun (Mr Walter)
